This car has always been titled in the State of Arizona. It has been driven very sparingly. The odometer reads 42,688 miles and that is said to be actual. When I assess the condition of the car, particularly of the interior, I can concur with the mileage claim. Due to its age, it is sold as exempt.
This car is a great driver. It has the 425 cubic inch V8 with electronic ignition. The transmission is the dependable Turbo Hydramatic 400. It is rear wheel drive.
As you would expect, it is nicely equipped. It has full power options. In addition, it has the headlamp sentinel, auto-dimming, climate control, cruise control, power seats, power antenna, power trunk, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, AM/FM stereo with 8-track player and outdoor thermometer.
There is even a case of 8-tracks for your listening pleasure. Conway and Loretta, Glen Campbell, Marty Robbins, George and Tammy, etc. The stereo works very well, as does the antenna.
In fact, all features on this car work properly with the exception of the horn. All the interior and exterior lights are functional. There is a correct jack, lug wrench and spare tire. The doors lock with the key and we have two sets.
This car was owned by a retired US Border Patrol officer. I have to believe that most of its owners kept it out of the sun, as the weather-stripping, rubber seals and the paint don’t show signs of degradation from the sun. The landau top does have some cracking, but it is not unsightly.
The Seamist Green paint looks nice. It shines well. The body is pretty straight with only a few imperfections. I don’t see any sign of rust or rust repair. The underbody is also very nice for a car that is 40 years old.
The glass is all good. The chrome is exceptional. The hubcaps are in great condition. It is evident that this car received good care. As a Cadillac should.
The Antique Dark Green Random Velour interior is amazing. This color was only available on the d’Elegance DeVilles. It is spectacular in this car and is truly unique. There are no rips, stains or blemishes to the headliner, door panels, carpet and upholstery. The dash does have a crack, but it is hidden by a matching dash cover.
This car wants to be driven. It would love to be cruising at freeway speeds. You just need to add gas and it is ready to be enjoyed.
