In 1931, a buyer had a number of colors to choose from, but this car was black when it left the factory. The black and tan repaint took place sometime before our current owner bought the car. He discovered some body filler at the bottom of the door panels. He took the car to Butler County Ford and had them grind out the old body filler, install brand new door skins and repaint the car. The exterior is now pristine. The body panels are straight, the curvy fenders and running boards are all free from dents and there is no trace of rust. Those five wire wheels, original Ford, came with the car. Painted yellow now, they look great and the tires have lots of wear left.
All of the chrome and brightwork are original. The only imperfection is the slight peeling of the drivers side tail light. The rumble seat has been reupholstered some years ago in a light brown vinyl that contrasts nicely with the black and tan exterior. The windshield tilts outward for fresh air in the cabin.
