Completed in 2014, she circuited events of the mid-west. 2017 her Owner transitioned to a new home, Goodyear, Arizona where those green LED lights dance with the night.
No expense was spared during this stunning build. House of color Planet Green sits atop many layers of gold metal flake base. Prior to color, body mods including removing the original coupe top to make a roadster. As a Canadian built car, her steel body was, get this, originally coated with a factory applied (circa 1931) galvanized coating. This had to be completely sealed using electro-bonded black primer. The only area not steel is the molded aspects to the steel Model A grill and the front fenders. Shaved exterior handles complete the custom look. Green LED lighting highlights hidden details. She’s simply a work of art.
Black leather upholstery along with black cowhide seat covers splendor the interior. Original dash has been stylized with Dakota Digital gauges, giving a modern appeal to a tradition foundation. The independent mechanical review was performed by the very critical Lemon Squad. Mechanical items of note indicated a potential for a slight oil leak and a very light potential seepage of engine coolant. Various other points of interest show few critical items, and really are points identified due to her customization.
A heart and soul project gives us an outstanding custom ride. Built as a driver and not a trailer queen, she would make famed builders like George Barris give a positive nod in the art of the build. She’s almost all steel, a rarity in the Model A customs world and well balanced in her performance. Added personal touches like the lighting will make this beauty a green beacon in the dark.
