Placing an absentee bid is a great way to ensure you never miss the end of an auction. With absentee bidding you can place a maximum bid for the car you want. Your actual bid will be $100 (dependent on the auction) more than the current bid & whenever you are outbid, your bid will increase to $100 more than the current bid.

So for example if the current bid is $1000 and you place an absentee bid of $5000, your new bid will only be $1100. Then if someone outbids you with $2000, the system will automatically bid for you $2100. This will happen all the way to your maximum bid.
