Q
What is absentee bidding and how does it work?

A

Placing an absentee bid is a great way to ensure you never miss the end of an auction.

With absentee bidding you can place a maximum bid for the car you want. Your actual bid will be $100 more than the current bid & whenever you are outbid, your bid will increase to $100 more than the current bid.

So for example if the current bid is $1000 and you place an absentee bid of $5000, your new bid will only be $1100. Then if someone outbids you with $2000, the system will automatically bid for you $2100. This will happen all the way to your maximum bid.

If the final live bid is the same as an absentee bid, the final live bid will win the auction. For example if an absentee bid is $20K and then then a live bid comes in at $20K, the live bid will win the auction if it has ended.
